Even though I recommend having a look at Gimp or Irfan View to do most of your image work if you’re not actually a graphic designer, a lot of us have ended up buying the big beast – Adobe Photoshop – and then wondering what on earth do we do with all these menus and twiddly bits?
Like you I’ve spent ages going round the Internet forums looking for answers to some of the basic questions about the techniques needed to process photos or tweak a banner. In the course of searching last week, I found a set of straight to the point video tutorials that I actually bought!! Don’t faint.
My first impressions weren’t that favourable. Especially with a cheesy name like the “Graphics Champ”. I toyed with the idea of asking for my money back. But then I went back to them and had a proper sit down and listen. And blow me … they clicked. Produced by some young guys, they just seem to connect netter with my brain than some of the more formal material I have seen.
Here’s an example - see what I mean? Sounds a bit ropey doesn’t it? But if you consider that for less than $30 dollars you get access to a growing library of tutorials, which cover every thing you could possibly want to know about Photoshop, as a relative beginner and which is compatible with versions back to 7 I think you’ll agree you’ve got a cracking little resource here.
